Well, not quite the wind that was forecast, but I was desperate for a sail so went for a rummage through the shed to find the biggest kit I could.

Ended up with my Starboard S-Type 104 which feels huge to me and a massive 6.7m sail. Rigged it up, checked the wind and it was now gusting to 25 knots... Hmm, maybe the 5.6m would have been enough after all!

Couldn't be bother to re-rig though so went out anyway. The kit did feel a little big to man-handle and it was a bit of a liability in amongst the waves, but once up and planing it actually felt OK. I was pretty much maxed out at times but not so much that I felt as though I couldn't hang on, and there were a few lulls during which I was glad of the bigger kit.

Nice out the back, but a little messy in amongst the waves.

I'll try to post some video later.
